JLL empowers you to shape a brighter way.
Our people at JLL are shaping the future of real estate for a better world by combining world class services, advisory and technology for our clients. We are committed to hiring the best, most talented people and empowering them to thrive, grow meaningful careers and to find a place where they belong. Whether you’ve got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you’re looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.
At JLL, we shape the future of real estate for a better world and our project delivery teams turn that ambition into the spaces people actually work in. As our HSSE Specialist for fit-out projects, you'll be the trusted safety partner who keeps our sites, teams and clients protected from first plan to final handover. Rather than owning every document yourself, you'll equip project leads with the tools, templates and guidance they need — then stay close to the work through regular site inspections, training and hands-on coordination. You'll partner with contractors, inspectors and clients to keep standards high across a busy portfolio of live projects. If you're an operational, people-first safety professional who likes being on site as much as setting the standard, this is the role for you.
What You'll Do
- Advise project teams and give them the tools, templates and guidance to prepare the health & safety documentation required on a construction site — including the Health & Safety Protection Plan (Plan BIOZ), Safe Work Execution Instructions (IBWR) and finishing-works instructions — and make sure the construction log (dziennik budowy) and related records stay accurate and compliant with construction law throughout the project.
- Oversee the safety supervision of fit-out works (installation, assembly and finishing), with day-to-day supervision owned by the site/project lead, keeping particular focus on high-risk activities: work at height, power tools, safe storage of materials, and coordination of multiple teams on site.
- Navigate the day-to-day realities of active fit-out sites — tight programmes, occupied or operational buildings, and several trades working in parallel — keeping safety front and centre when the pressure is on and helping teams solve problems without cutting corners.
- Deliver and/or coordinate the relevant training providers for fit-out teams, and monitor completion of online HSSE training modules — covering finishing-specific hazards and periodic refreshers.
- Advise project leads and provide the risk-assessment tool/template so they can identify and document hazards typical of fit-out work (materials containing chemical substances, electrical and ventilation works, ergonomic risks), and oversee and manage that risk documentation for the duration of each project.
- Coordinate health & safety activities with general contractors, construction supervision inspectors and the State Labour Inspectorate, and keep clear communication with the end client on facility safety requirements.
- Run regular HSSE site inspections across live fit-out projects — checking the selection and use of personal protective equipment, the technical condition of tools and equipment, and the availability of first-aid kits and supplies — and track corrective actions through to closure.
- Champion a consistent safety culture and continuous improvement across the fit-out portfolio, helping teams and contractors raise standards together.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years' experience in occupational health & safety, ideally within a formal H&S function (służba BHP) on construction or fit-out sites, with a degree or postgraduate qualification in health & safety (BHP) and current periodic H&S training for safety-service staff.
- A strong grounding in construction-site health & safety, with practical knowledge of Polish construction law and H&S regulations (NEBOSH or equivalent welcome).
- Real familiarity with the risks specific to fit-out and interior finishing — work at height, power tools, electrical and ventilation installations, hazardous materials and ergonomic hazards.
- An advisory, enabling mindset: you're confident equipping project leads with the tools and templates to own their documentation, rather than writing every document yourself.
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder skills, comfortable working across contractors, inspectors, authorities and clients to keep everyone aligned.
- A confident communicator and trainer who can deliver or coordinate training and bring people with you on safety.
- A hands-on, operational presence — you're happy to be on site, running inspections and following issues through to resolution.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation, able to manage HSSE across several live projects at once, with fluent Polish (C2) and solid working English (C1).
