Job Description
This leader will build the engineering operating model that defines how OCI develops, validates,and scales new infrastructure technologies from concept through global fleet deployment. Theorganization will establish the systems and governance supporting generational designdevelopment, technology roadmap integration, Basis of Design (BOD) management, newproduct introduction (NPI), engineering change management, first-of-a-kind (FOAK) validation,commissioning standardization, and continuous engineering improvement across OCI's globaldata center portfolio.A key responsibility of this organization will be translating OCI's evolving compute, networking,and AI infrastructure roadmaps into scalable facility engineering solutions. Working closely withHardware and Architecture teams, the team will assess the impact of next-generation rackplatforms, power densities, cooling technologies, and emerging infrastructure requirements onmechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and controls systems. The organization will ensurenew technologies are evaluated through structured engineering reviews, comprehensivevalidation strategies, and phased deployment processes before fleet-wide adoption.This leader will establish repeatable engineering systems that ensure infrastructure designs,products, and engineering changes are technically sound, operationally validated, and scalableacross OCI's global footprint. The organization will develop standardized engineering processesfor technology introduction, engineering change control, design maturity, configurationmanagement, commissioning, and operational handoff while ensuring engineering decisions aredocumented, traceable, and consistently implemented across regions.The role will drive cross-functional alignment, balancing innovation with standardization toaccelerate deployment velocity while maintaining engineering rigor, operational readiness, andlifecycle performance.The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in engineering operations, critical infrastructuredevelopment, and technical program and product leadership with a proven track record ofbuilding organizations, establishing scalable engineering processes, and leading complex cross-functional initiatives in hyperscale, cloud, semiconductor, or other mission-critical environments.
Responsibilities
Generational Design Development-Define the engineering lifecycle and governance model for successive generations of OCIdata center designs-Establish stage gates, technical reviews, and engineering readiness criteria from conceptthrough production release.- Integrate Architecture, Rack Engineering, Design Engineering, and Product Engineeringroadmaps into future platform development.-Ingest rack technology roadmaps to assess impacts on mechanical, electrical, plumbing,structural, and controls infrastructure.-Ensure engineering decisions are documented, reviewed, and governed throughstandardized development processes while enabling rapid technology adoption.
