Accountabilities:
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes while ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Provide financial analysis, summaries, and recommendations to support senior leadership decisions.
- Perform technical accounting analysis in accordance with IFRS standards.
- Review software-related contracts and ensure appropriate revenue recognition practices under IFRS 15 guidelines.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of finance professionals, including CPAs and CPA candidates.
- Coordinate audit activities, respond to audit requests, and support quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
- Assist with financial due diligence activities related to acquisitions and support post-acquisition financial integration.
- Contribute to process improvements and initiatives that enhance financial operations and business performance.
- 5+ years of professional experience in accounting or finance roles.
- CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Proven experience managing teams and developing finance professionals.
- Strong ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and business leaders.
- Solid understanding of IFRS reporting requirements.
- Experience in an accounting firm or software industry environment is considered an asset.
- Experience with project accounting and financial analysis is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Competitive salary range of $87,500 to $105,000 per year, with eligibility for bonus or merit-based programs.
