The award-winning Forbes 4-Star and AAA 5-Diamond Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is looking for a Catering Sales Coordinatorto join the Catering and Events Team!  

 

Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California's surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle.  

 

The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and Beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and in-room dining.

Exceptional Hospitality Starts with You

Picture yourself brightening someone’s day. When you join our Hotels team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! As a Catering Coordinator, you’re not just supporting catering and small event sales – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

  • Support catering sales: Solicit, secure, coordinate and respond to customer inquiries regarding the purchase of food and beverage, rental of event facilities and purchase of ancillary services from the hotel for groups of 50 or fewer guests with 10 or fewer guest room nights
  • Deliver exceptional client service: Host and entertain clients, conduct site tours, draft contracts, and promote the hotel’s facilities and services to drive bookings
  • Coordinate event execution: Communicate event details and provide clear direction to internal teams to ensure flawless delivery of catering events
  • Manage event documentation: Generate contracts and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and support the daily distribution of BEOs, change logs, and reader boards
  • Maintain marketing collateral: Collaborate with administrative staff to organize files and ensure event marketing materials are properly stocked
  • Delight our guests: Respond promptly to guest inquiries and resolve any issues in a friendly, efficient manner to ensure a positive experience
