Job Responsibilities:
Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer / Cloud Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructure supporting our enterprise data and API platforms. This is a senior individual contributor role requiring deep technical expertise and hands-on execution, with strong influence on architectural direction and engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native architectures on Azure (preferred) to support data platforms, APIs, and microservices.
- Build and manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or similar tools.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows for infrastructure and platform services.
- Architect and implement secure cloud environments, including IAM, networking, encryption, and policy controls.
- Partner with Data and API Engineering teams to ensure platform scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Lead hands-on implementation of containerization and orchestration solutions (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Establish and enhance observability practices including logging, monitoring, and alerting.
- Drive cloud cost optimization (FinOps), including rightsizing, scaling strategies, and usage monitoring.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and platform issues across environments.
- Establish governance and operational models across platform architecture, design and operations
- Direct, review and govern partner execution and deliverables
Required Qualifications
- 8–12 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
- Deep expertise in Azure (AWS/GCP experience is a plus).
- Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of networking, security, IAM, and distributed systems.
- Experience building and supporting production-grade cloud platforms.
Preferred
- AZ-305 or equiavlent certification
- Experience supporting data platforms (Databricks, Spark) and API ecosystems.
- Familiarity with platform engineering concepts and internal developer platforms (IDPs).
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, etc.).
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare).
