As a Senior Digital Product Manager on the AI Productivity Tools team, you will own how American Express evaluates, enables, and scales AI tools that help colleagues research, analyze, draft, prototype, design, and automate work. You will drive decisions on which vendor capabilities deserve enterprise adoption, how they should fit into Amex’s operating model, what controls are required, and how to package them into a clear, useful colleague experience. You will work with vendor teams and internal partners to bring AI productivity tools into Amex in a way that is useful, supportable, governed, and worth the investment.
- Define the product strategy, launch scope, target users, success metrics, and expansion roadmap for AI-powered productivity tools.
- Translate colleague needs and business priorities into clear product requirements, roadmap priorities, rollout plans, and adoption recommendations.
- Evaluate vendor capabilities, platform features, connectors, integrations, and workflow patterns to decide what Amex should enable, constrain, test further, or defer.
- Assess vendor roadmap items and enterprise feature requests against colleague value, feasibility, risk, supportability, and readiness to scale.
- Create go/no-go recommendations that clearly separate what is ready for controlled release, broader rollout, or future review.
- Partner with platform administration, technical project management, engineering, security, and architecture teams to validate access, configuration, monitoring, risk controls, support paths, and launch readiness.
- Work with Go-to-Market partners on positioning, training inputs, launch communications, FAQs, customer success, and feedback loops.
- Define product guardrails for acceptable use, data handling, human review, artifact management, connector access, and scale decisions.
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to close the gap between vendor capability and Amex readiness across identity, access, monitoring, data handling, support, and governance.
- Analyze usage, adoption, retention, feedback, support patterns, and qualitative value signals to understand where the product is working and where the strategy needs to change.
- Prepare clear senior-leader materials on product value, launch readiness, adoption, investment needs, governance, and tradeoffs.
- Build repeatable product practices for evaluating vendor capabilities, packaging them for Amex, launching them to the right cohorts, and measuring adoption and value.
- 5+ years of product management, platform product management, enterprise SaaS, AI products, collaboration tools, productivity platforms, developer tools, design tools, or equivalent experience.
- Experience launching, enabling, or scaling products in complex enterprise environments with technology, risk, compliance, legal, and business stakeholders.
- Strong product judgment, including the ability to define the customer problem, prioritize the highest-value use cases, and make clear launch tradeoffs under pressure.
- Ability to turn ambiguous vendor capabilities into practical requirements, rollout plans, success metrics, user guidance, and executive recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain product, technical, operational, and risk topics to senior and non-technical audiences.
- Experience partnering with engineering, architecture, information security, legal, compliance, data governance, vendor, Go-to-Market, or platform operations teams.
- Comfort operating with incomplete information while maintaining strong documentation, decision-making, and escalation discipline.
- Ability to use data, user feedback, and product intuition to evaluate adoption, value, product-market fit, and readiness to scale.
- Hands-on curiosity about AI tools and willingness to test products directly before asking others to adopt them.
- Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and able to move quickly without losing sight of governance, supportability, and enterprise risk.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
