Position

The Field CISO is a customer-facing security executive within the Field Engineering Specialists organization responsible for helping Oracle's largest enterprise customers securely adopt Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle AI Services.

Working with a portfolio of strategic accounts, the Field CISO serves as a trusted advisor to CISOs, CIOs, Chief Risk Officers, and executive leadership, providing strategic guidance on cloud security, AI security, cyber resilience, compliance, and enterprise security transformation.

The role combines executive engagement with deep security architecture expertise to help customers modernize their security strategy while accelerating adoption of Oracle Cloud and AI services. Field CISOs also act as the voice of the customer, influencing Oracle product strategy, security capabilities, and customer success through close collaboration with Engineering, Product Management, and Sales.

Responsibilities:

Executive Advisory and Trusted Relationships

  • Serve as the primary executive security advisor for assigned enterprise customers.
  • Build trusted relationships with customer CISOs, CIOs, security leadership, and executive stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic guidance on cloud security, AI security, cyber resilience, governance, risk, and compliance.
  • Lead executive briefings, security workshops, architecture reviews, and tabletop exercises.

Customer Engagement and Security Architecture

  • Advise customers on designing secure cloud and AI architectures using OCI services.
  • Guide customers on Zero Trust, Identity and Access Management, workload protection, network security, encryption, data protection, and security operations.
  • Help customers securely operationalize Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle AI Services.
  • Support modernization of enterprise security programs across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  • Develop security strategies that enable customers to migrate critical workloads with confidence.

AI Security and Cloud Transformation

  • Advise customers on secure adoption of AI services and Generative AI applications.
  • Help customers implement AI governance, secure MLOps practices, model security, and responsible AI controls.
  • Guide customers on protecting AI models, training data, and sensitive enterprise information.
  • Support alignment with emerging AI security standards and regulatory frameworks.

Cross Functional Collaboration 

  • Capture customer security requirements and communicate them to OCI Engineering and Product Management.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Solution Architects, Sales, Compliance, Customer Success, and the Office of the Oracle CISO.
  • Contribute reusable security guidance, reference architectures, customer success stories, and best practices.
  • Represent Oracle at customer events, conferences, advisory boards, and industry engagements.

Operational Excellence

  • Develop reusable security playbooks, reference architectures, and technical guidance.
  • Support strategic customer engagements during significant security events and executive escalations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of customer engagement methodologies and security advisory practices.
  • Drive measurable customer outcomes through secure cloud adoption and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in cybersecurity, including 5+ years as a CISO, Deputy CISO, Field CISO, Chief Security Architect, Security Strategist, or equivalent customer-facing leadership role.
  • Experience designing and operating enterprise security programs across cloud-first and AI-enabled environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-native security including Zero Trust, IAM, CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, Kubernetes security, DevSecOps, and cyber resilience.
  • Understanding of AI security, secure MLOps, AI governance, and model risk management.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2, FedRAMP, HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR, NIST AI RMF, and the EU AI Act.
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong public speaking and customer engagement experience.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.

Reporting and Scope

  • Reports to: Director, Field CISOs
  • Scope: Strategic enterprise customers across North America
  • Works closely with: Sales, Cloud Engineering, Product Management, Security, Compliance, Customer Success, and the Office of the Oracle CISO

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $147,300 to $243,800 per annum. May be eligible for equity and compensation deferral. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.


Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
