**Your role and responsibilities**
As an Associate SAP AI Platform Consultant, you will support clients in establishing the technology platforms required to develop, deploy and operate AI solutions within SAP and enterprise environments. Working alongside AI Architects, SAP consultants, data engineers, AI orchestration consultants and business stakeholders, you will contribute to the technical foundations that enable Agentic AI capabilities.
Key responsibilities include supporting platform design workshops, documenting technical requirements, assisting with the configuration of AI and integration services, helping develop low-code or pro-code AI solution components, and supporting secure and scalable AI platform implementation. You will help build and test AI applications, agent frameworks, orchestration services, integrations, knowledge retrieval capabilities and business context services. You will also contribute to demonstrations, proofs of concept, platform accelerators, proposals and the continual improvement of IBM methods and reusable assets.

* Demonstrated interest in AI platforms, software development, integration technologies and enterprise architecture.
* Understanding of AI solution architecture, application development and/or systems integration concepts.
* Basic understanding of APIs, web services, integration concepts, data platforms or data product development.
* Awareness of Generative AI, AI assistants, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and knowledge grounding concepts.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively within client-facing consulting teams.
* Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies, consulting methods and enterprise platform delivery practices.
* Bachelor’s degree in technical disciplines such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
Candidates who have any of the following technical skills or experiences will be highly desirable.
* Exposure to SAP technologies such as SAP Integration Suite, SAP AI Core, SAP Generative AI Hub, Joule or Business Data Cloud, BTP.
* Basic experience with at least one modern programming language such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java or ABAP through university, internships or personal projects.
* University, internship or project experience developing AI applications, assistants, agents, orchestration workflows or conversational solutions.
* Familiarity with AI development frameworks, large language models, knowledge graphs, MCP concepts, APIs or enterprise integration services.
* Exposure to application development frameworks, low-code platforms or full-stack development approaches.
* Awareness of DevOps, platform operations, security, testing and AI governance practices.
* Understanding of enterprise data platforms, analytics solutions or data integration patterns.
* Certifications, course work or experience in Gen AI, Cloud, Data, Apps Dev or Integration are advantageous.
* Internship, project or consulting experience involving AI, enterprise application implementation, platform engineering, integration or technology transformation initiatives.
* Understanding of Enterprise Design Thinking methodologies.
