Accountabilities:
- Provide leadership and direct supervision to Contracts Administrators, including workload prioritization, mentoring, and performance guidance across multiple entities.
- Oversee the full contract lifecycle including award review, execution, modifications, funding updates, subcontract administration, and closeout activities.
- Advise executive leadership on contractual risk, negotiation strategy, compliance posture, and business implications of contract terms and obligations.
- Review and approve key business development documents including NDAs, teaming agreements, proposal compliance requirements, and risk-related inputs.
- Ensure contract awards are accurately structured, including pricing alignment, CLIN structure, FAR/DFARS compliance, and implementation readiness.
- Coordinate with Finance and Project Controls to validate funding, invoicing requirements, revenue impacts, and audit compliance.
- Lead subcontracting strategy, ensuring proper flow-down of requirements and effective vendor agreement administration.
- Develop and implement process improvements, templates, and governance tools to strengthen consistency and compliance across contract operations.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, contracts, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be accepted.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in U.S. federal government contracts and/or subcontracts (12+ years preferred for senior scope).
- Proven experience supervising, mentoring, or leading contract administration teams.
- Strong expertise in contract types including FFP, CPFF, T&M, LH, IDIQ, and task/delivery order structures.
- Deep knowledge of FAR, DFARS, SBA/8(a), CFR, and federal contracting lifecycle governance.
- Experience managing award reviews, negotiations, modifications, funding actions, risk mitigation, and closeouts.
- Certification such as CFCM (NCMA) strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and SharePoint; experience with ERP/contract systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to manage competing priorities in a compliance-driven environment.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Experience in secure environments and familiarity with federal clearance processes is strongly desired.
- Competitive salary range: $130,000 – $165,000 annually
