Accountabilities

    As a Data Engineer III, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure that enables reliable analytics and healthcare-driven solutions.

    • Develop production-quality Python and SQL solutions focused on data transformation, pipeline logic, and analytical query optimization.
    • Design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines to process complex healthcare datasets efficiently.
    • Leverage AI-powered tools and large language models to improve engineering workflows, accelerate development, automate testing, and enhance documentation.
    • Build and manage scalable data processing solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, Glue, and Fargate.
    • Develop and maintain data workflows using Apache Airflow to ensure reliable and efficient pipeline execution.
    • Manage and optimize Extract, Load, and Transform (ELT) processes using DBT.
    • Design efficient database schemas and data models using PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift.
    • Improve data platform reliability, performance, and scalability by identifying opportunities for automation and optimization.
    • Apply AI-driven approaches to repetitive or high-volume data engineering tasks to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
    • Contribute to data quality, governance, and infrastructure improvements across the platform.
    • Requirements

      The ideal candidate is an experienced data engineer with strong technical expertise in SQL, Python, cloud infrastructure, and scalable data systems.

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
      • 5+ years of industry experience working as a Data Engineer.
      • Expert-level SQL skills, including complex query development, optimization, schema design, and experience handling large-scale datasets.
      • Strong Python programming skills with experience developing and maintaining production-grade applications and data solutions.
      • Hands-on experience working with AWS services and cloud-based data infrastructure in production environments.
      • Proven experience designing and scaling data platforms capable of processing high volumes of information.
      • Experience incorporating AI-assisted development tools, such as coding assistants or large language model-based solutions, into engineering workflows.
      • Strong understanding of data pipeline architecture, ETL/ELT processes, and data engineering best practices.
      • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and improve system performance.
      • Nice-to-have experience:

        • Experience working with healthcare, medical, or pharmacy claims data.
        • Knowledge of serverless application architectures.
        • Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, Glue, and Fargate.
        • Experience with Master Data Management and data governance practices.
        • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
        • Experience applying AI tools to automate data quality checks, accelerate pipeline development, or improve ETL processes.
