Position Summary

Arts & Science is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Facilities Administrator to support the shared space for the Integrated Science Initiative (ISI) labs. This role will oversee research laboratory facilities and operations for the ISI labs shared by multiple departments. Manage day to day operations in conjunction with the administrative teams in the individual departments; develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain cleanliness of workspaces.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in a scientific fieldRequired Experience:3+ years experience in research facilitiesRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals at all levels. Knowledge of advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Will be required to obtain a Certificate of Fitness (C-14) within 90 days of hiring. General knowledge of and ability to identify chemicals, and chemical compatibles. Familiarity with laboratory setting and operations. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Individual must be able to physically move and/or lift heavy items of 30+lbs.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $77,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
