What is the opportunity?
The Team Lead – Quality and Operations is responsible for the overall support to the Manager – Quality and Operations in leading two key aspects of the CMR business. Support is provided to quality and compliance activities that effectively ensures the safety and soundness of CMR and by extension RBC. In addition, this role leads a team of quality and operations specialists which executes on the functions for administrative and operational activities within the unit.
What will you do?
- Lead the day-to-day support of administrative/operational procedures within the Unit and spotting operational efficiencies where possible
- Liaise with external third-party providers regarding all matters relating to their support to the Unit’s collections activities (e.g., Attorneys/Collections Agencies/Credit Bureau)
- Lead activities responsible for portfolio penetration via posting or core system investigations or actions e.g. Searching for dollars
- Lead activities responsible for processing of bill payments and invoices for internal or external suppliers
- Lead the expectation of processing volumes as measured through established service quality standards (e.g., Client Service Commitments)
- Lead the processes and activities surrounding the administrative duties, letters, and correspondences for CMR in the agreed SLA and expected professionality standard
- Lead the activities supporting the preparation, processing and disbursement of all relevant security items to be applied to accounts within agreed SLA’s and delegated limits of authority
- Lead the support activities and time management tenets surrounding portfolio and work allocations for quality and operations specialists
- Lead the overall requests for work processing, posting and authorization of all requests including principal and interest payments to Written-Off Accounts
- Lead the overall management of requests for copies of Security Items/Documents ensuring database is accurately updated and timely follow-up for receipt is maintained within the agreed SLA timeline for delivery
- Manage all incoming client queries/concerns via generic mail boxes ensuring contact is made within a 48 hour timeline
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Degree in Business Management or other relevant experience
- Experience with Caribbean Core Banking applications – T24, TS2, RIBS, Finco
- Commitment to flexible work schedules and locations based on Operations, hours of business and availability
- Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft office with focus on Excel
- Strong and demonstrated communication skills both verbal and written and strong aptitude for organizing and prioritizing
- Ability to prioritize and meet conflicting demands, consultative, highly adaptable, flexible and effective
Nice to Have
- Audit designation would be an asset
- Lean Six Sigma designation
