Accountabilities:
- Conducting financial analysis, including financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis to evaluate business performance.
- Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities through analysis of financial and operational data.
- Supporting strategic planning initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with business goals.
- Assisting with budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, including gathering inputs, maintaining models, and monitoring performance against targets.
- Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support informed decision-making and executive discussions.
- Preparing financial reports, presentations, dashboards, and reporting packages for leadership and stakeholders.
- Identifying cost optimization opportunities and partnering with teams to improve efficiency while maintaining business priorities.
- Improving financial processes, tools, and workflows through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supporting ad hoc financial analysis, special projects, and strategic initiatives as needed.
- Communicating insights and recommendations clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; CPA designation or Master’s degree is an asset.
- 3+ years of experience across a combination of Big 4 audit, FP&A, accounting, or strategic finance roles.
- Strong experience with financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate findings into clear recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence engaging with executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on identifying business opportunities.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Experience with Google Suite tools, including Sheets and Slides, is an asset.
- Familiarity with finance systems such as NetSuite, Cube, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-first, globally distributed environment.
- Candidates should be located in the Greater Toronto Area with the ability to occasionally access a local co-working space.
