Accountabilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop Technical Implementation Leads and Software Developers while fostering technical excellence and team growth.
- Oversee complex customer-facing implementation projects, ensuring successful delivery across planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership throughout the implementation lifecycle, including discovery sessions, solution architecture, estimation, troubleshooting, and operational readiness.
- Apply expertise in Java, HL7 FHIR, HL7 v2, CDA/CCDA, REST APIs, SQL, data mapping, and enterprise integration patterns to guide technical decisions.
- Participate in customer discussions, technical escalations, root cause analysis, mitigation planning, and executive-level communication.
- Collaborate with Product, Quality Assurance, Cloud Operations, Support, Architecture, Agile teams, and Customer Success to deliver reliable solutions.
- Create and maintain reusable implementation resources, including playbooks, build documentation, troubleshooting guides, and reference architectures.
- Identify technical risks, recurring challenges, and process improvement opportunities to improve implementation quality and customer outcomes.
- Drive delivery standards through technical reviews, testing practices, mentorship, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure implementation documentation, testing evidence, operational handoffs, and technical standards are maintained throughout projects.
- Evaluate new technologies, implementation approaches, and operational improvements to support platform evolution.
- 8+ years of experience in software development, technical implementations, healthcare interoperability, clinical informatics, or senior technical delivery roles.
- 3+ years of experience managing, mentoring, and developing technical teams, including engineers, technical leads, or implementation specialists.
- Strong experience across the full software implementation lifecycle, including discovery, architecture, estimation, development, testing, deployment, and operational support.
- Advanced knowledge of Java, Kubernetes, Docker, cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and modern deployment practices.
- Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise issues involving integrations, data ingestion, scalability, performance, infrastructure, and production operations.
- Expertise designing and implementing healthcare integrations using HL7 FHIR, HL7 v2, CDA/CCDA, REST APIs, SQL, data mapping, and interoperability standards.
- Experience working with relational and distributed databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of software engineering practices, including APIs, source control, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, build processes, testing strategies, release management, and version control.
- Experience supporting healthcare organizations, regulated environments, payer/provider systems, interoperability initiatives, or related technology programs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
