Job Title: Business Analyst and Facilitation SME
Clearance Required: US Citizen, Public Trust Clearance
Work Location: Hybrid, Camp Springs, MD

Alpha Omega is seeking a Business Analyst and Facilitation SME to support USCIS operations. This role involves analyzing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and facilitating stakeholder discussions to develop actionable solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead business analyst supporting USCIS operations.
  • Analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and facilitate stakeholder discussions to develop actionable solutions.
  • Gather and document requirements, and develop process flow diagrams, use cases, and functional specifications.
  • Support Agile sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct process reengineering, organizational impact assessments, and alternative analyses.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into business solutions and serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams.
  • Support technology assessments, user acceptance testing, and operational readiness activities.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a business analyst or subject matter expert (SME).
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting federal programs in areas such as process optimization, requirements analysis, and system integration, with a focus on immigration.
  • 5 years of experience with immigration policy, including exposure to agencies and offices operating in the immigration ecosystem, and familiarity with DHS systems used for identity management and immigration status verification.
  • Expertise in requirements gathering, process mapping, and workflow optimization.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, testing, and system deployment.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business solutions.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or an equivalent certification.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.

Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $100,000 – $148,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
