The role of the Assistant Technician is to ensure that all product provided for airworthiness release in accordance with the applicable regulation and AS9100 Standard to the customer, these products are processed in support of the Regional Distribution Centre and assembly departments to meet the customer needs. The role reports directly to the Quality System Compliance Manager and the Inspector role has no direct reports Network & Relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all parts are in accordance with all aspects of the approved design data.
- Identifying any part not in accordance with the engineering data and raise within the non-conforming material system.
- Working with Engineering, procurement, Quality Engineering as required to address any Customer certification request.
- Working with the picking, packing and shipping to ensure the parts and certification documentation are in accordance with the regulations and AS9100 standard.
- Working with the Customer services representative as required to address any Customer certification request.
Required Skills & Experience:
- UK CAA Part 21 G Regulations experience is essential
- AS9100 Experience
- Awareness of Quality Management system and all applicable procedure/WI/Forms
- Identification of non-Conformity material/product
- Ability to read and understand 2D & 3D drawings
- Use of Teamcenter and the inspection function for all product types
Preferred Skills & Experience:
• FAA 8130-3 highly desirable
