Product Marketing Manager – Open Finance & Developer Experience

Role Overview
We are seeking a high-impact, commercially driven Product Portfolio Marketing Manager to shape and execute go-to-market strategy for the Mastercard Open Finance & Developer Experience portfolio across priority markets.

This role partners closely with Open Finance & Developer Experience business leadership, product, sales, and regional marketing teams to translate product strategy and capabilities into clear, differentiated value propositions, scalable use cases, and revenue-driving growth programs. Play a key role in advancing Mastercard’s leadership position in Open Finance and embedded financial services.

The ideal candidate combines strong product marketing fundamentals with deep understanding of payments and finance trends, and can effectively engage diverse buying groups—from technical developers to business decision-makers,


Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Positioning & Messaging

Define and evolve portfolio-level open finance messaging and value propositions grounded in customer needs, buyer personas, and market trends

Translate product capabilities into commercially meaningful use cases and solution narratives

Ensure consistency and differentiation across products and markets

Partner with product to shape roadmap inputs based on market and customer insights

Go-to-Market & Launch Execution

Support development of use case playbooks and core GTM assets to drive adoption across priority markets

Support Tier 1 product launches and own end-to-end go-to-market for Tier 2/3 launches (positioning, naming, and execution)

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure coordinated execution across channels and regions

Sales Enablement & Commercial Impact

Develop advanced sales enablement assets that clearly articulate value, use cases, and path to revenue

Equip sales teams with buyer-specific messaging tailored to technical and business audiences

Support regional sales teams and business development in driving pipeline, adoption, and revenue growth

Market Intelligence & Insights

Conduct competitive analysis, customer research, and trend monitoring to inform positioning and strategy

Leverage data to identify opportunities, refine messaging, and strengthen market differentiation

Campaign & Content Integration

Partner with campaign, digital, and field marketing teams to activate integrated, insight-driven campaigns

Ensure all content and campaigns reflect priority use cases and portfolio strategy

Oversee development of web, blog and social content and key marketing assets

Program Management & Performance

Manage agency partners and budgets to deliver high-quality assets and campaigns

Track and report on campaign performance and GTM effectiveness, optimizing based on results

Maintain portfolio documentation and product inventory



Qualifications:

Proven experience in product marketing, portfolio marketing, or GTM roles in B2B technology or financial services

Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong learning orientation; continuously identifies opportunities to drive innovation and accelerate growth in fast-paced environments

Proven ability to build compelling positioning and value propositions across multiple markets

Experience developing use-case-led marketing and sales enablement

Track record of executing product launches and integrated marketing campaigns

Strong cross-functional leadership skills across global, multi-cultural and remote product, sales, and regional teams

Analytical mindset with ability to turn insights into actionable GTM strategies

Strong understanding of Open Finance ecosystems and competitive landscape a plus

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay Ranges

Purchase, New York: $135,000 - $222,000 USD
