Responsibilities:
NPI engineer in production site serve as the engineering representative on-site, acting as “NPI eyes and hands” in production to ensure fast, efficient and high-quality transition of new products from development to manufacturing.
Bridge between HW engineering teams located outside Singapore and manufacturing operations (Singapore) by enabling rapid decision making and shortening feedback loops of NPI and sustaining activities.
Work closely with Manufacturing Deign Engineering (MDE), Supply chain and operations teams, ensuring production readiness to ramp.
Ensure readiness of BOMs, procedures, tools and documentation for production release.
Provide hands-on support during prototype builds and FAI.
Collaborate with MDE to define, validate and improve production processes.
Document production processes done on site while taking part in actual builds.
Bill of Material (BOM) definition -working tightly with the Operations teams: Sync with the Supply chain, Manufacturing Design Engineering and Buyers teams to meet procurement needs.
Bill of Material (BOM) completeness and correctness verification during proto builds.
Engineering Change Order (ECO) management.
Drive and follow up on ECO implementation and validation on the production line.
Participate in design for DfX: Service, Production and Operation.
Management product testing methodology and required equipment.
Collaborate with the Service team in managing New Product service requirements -defining FRUs (Field Replacement Units),packaging & shipment requirements.
Provide training to the manufacturing engineer
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in semiconductor or complex system manufacturing
Experience working with global teams (remote collaboration)
Hands-on experience in production line support and ramp-up
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in NPI, manufacturing engineering, or transfer to production
Strong understanding of BOM management, product configuration, and documentation control.
Experience with PLM systems (e.g.,Enovia – Advantage)
Experience working with CAD modeling tools (e.g., Creo), including ability to review and analyze mechanical assemblies
Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Be able to travel to Israel, UK &U to work with the designers and Israel NPI team on a regular basis.
Minimum Qualifications
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
