Director, Consumer Operations, Delivery US&C
About the Role
We are looking for a strategic leader and exceptional operator to lead the US&C Restaurant Consumer Operations team. This role balances consumer growth with marketplace health by optimizing investments across demand generation, pricing, merchant selection, and supply dynamics. This role reports to the Head of US&C Strategic Operations and is a member of the Strategic Operations Leadership Team. This leader will manage a team of 20+ operators and partner closely with Product, Finance, Marketing, Membership, Regional and Global Operations, Strategy and Planning, and Commercial leadership to shape and execute Uber's consumer growth strategy across the US&C Restaurant business.
This team sits at the center of how we acquire, retain, and grow consumers. You'll own the operating strategy behind our largest consumer investments—including membership, pricing, promotions, and other demand levers—to maximize sustainable growth while improving long-term marketplace efficiency. You'll develop a deep understanding of consumer behavior across the lifecycle and translate insights to help drive investment decisions and operational execution, and inform product strategy.
Success in this role will be measured by growing our consumer base, increasing user frequency, improving consumer retention, expanding Uber One membership adoption, and growing engagement across Uber's ecosystem of products and use cases.
What You’ll Do
- Own the central consumer growth operating strategy for the US&C Restaurant business, including capital allocation across membership, pricing, promotions, affordability, and other demand investments to maximize long-term business growth and efficiency.
- Drive the operating strategy and execution behind the consumer lifecycle—from acquisition through retention and frequency—with accountability for key business outcomes including MAUs, TPU, retention, and Uber One membership growth.
- Build a deep understanding of consumer behavior, identifying the biggest opportunities to improve the end-to-end Delivery experience and increase engagement across Restaurants, Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, Retail, and Mobility.
- Partner closely with Consumer, Pricing, Promotions, and Membership Product teams to define the highest-impact business problems, influence product roadmaps, and ensure alignment to address the most important growth opportunities.
- Own the consumer operating system for the region, including executive reporting, performance tracking, dashboards, forecasting, and analytical frameworks that drive decision-making across the business.
- Lead the regional strategy for consumer growth by partnering with global teams to scale best practices, influence global product direction, and accelerate the adoption of successful innovations across US&C.
- Lead, coach, and empower a team of 20+ high-performing operations team through mentorship, talent development, and a culture centered on ownership, continuous improvement, and business impact.
- Partner with other Strategic Operations teams, GMs, Enterprise and Global Commercial teams, and leaders across Retail and Direct to deliver coordinated consumer growth strategies that strengthen the entire marketplace.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Marketing, Legal, Policy, Data Science, and other partners to execute the US&C Restaurant strategy and deliver sustainable growth.
