Veev is leading the transformation of the construction industry with an innovative approach to modular home construction. Veev’s prefabricated closed-panel systems allow homes to be assembled efficiently on-site while delivering a more sustainable and higher-quality final product than traditional construction. As a new subsidiary of Lennar, Veev leverages the strength and scale of its parent company while maintaining the speed and disruptive approach of its roots as a Silicon Valley-based startup. Veev has developed a vertically integrated approach that involves multidisciplinary collaboration across real estate, design, development, engineering, manufacturing, and construction.
This role plays a key part in advancing the mission at Veev by supporting production with new equipment solutions and working to improve safety and processes efficiency by improving existing factory infrastructure. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, your work will directly support Veev’s ability to scale operations and deliver innovative, high-quality housing solutions.
The Role
As an Industrial Engineer, you will be a key part of a small, agile, well-resourced, and innovative Manufacturing Engineering team. Our team at Veev has the broad mission of supporting the production team as a complement to the Process Engineering, Production Quality, EHS, R&D and Maintenance teams. This role requires a project leader who is ready and able to collaborate cross-functionally to bring high-quality equipment solutions to a variety of production needs.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working with an even mix of office-work, project management, purchasing, research, data gathering and analysis, etc.) and work on the factory floor (understanding the day-to-day tasks of our assemblers and machine-operators, equipment trials, modification, and commissioning, hands-on problem-solving to keep the production line running, etc.)
Key Responsibilities
1. Material Flow & Storage Optimization
- Lead advanced warehouse layout and slotting initiatives to maximize cubic utilization and throughput in a high-volume, heavy-material environment.
- Design, optimize, and maintain finished goods storage systems to ensure efficient material flow and warehouse utilization.
- Develop and maintain robust capacity planning models to forecast storage needs and support production scaling
- Design and optimize end-to-end material pathways—from receiving through production to shipping—minimizing touches, transit time, and bottlenecks.
- Design and manage external logistics loops, optimizing transportation routes and inbound/outbound site delivery schedules
- Engineer ergonomic, point-of-use lineside presentation using smart racking, visual management, and innovative storage solutions tailored to construction manufacturing.
- Inventory Accuracy & Replenishment Systems
2. Inventory Accuracy & Replenishment Systems
- Develop and refine robust PFEP strategies and replenishment systems (Kanban, Min-Max, JIT) to balance service levels with lean inventory.
- Champion cycle counting, root-cause analysis, and lineside audits to achieve and sustain exceptional inventory accuracy.
- Partner cross-functionally to eliminate discrepancies and build systemic solutions that prevent recurrence.

Education & Experience
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, Operations Research, or a closely related technical field.
- Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in an industrial engineering, warehousing, or manufacturing environment.
- Systems Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience working extensively with NetSuite WMS/ERP (or equivalent Tier 1 WMS/ERP systems with a strong understanding of how to configure NetSuite material workflows).
Soft Skills
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence both frontline associates and executive stakeholders.
