Accountabilities:

    The Scientific Advisor, Director will serve as a senior scientific expert responsible for developing biomarker strategies, supporting client initiatives, and advancing laboratory capabilities. Key responsibilities include:

    • Lead protein biomarker strategies for translational and clinical studies, including biomarker panel selection, study design recommendations, and assay or platform strategy.
    • Act as the scientific lead for biomarker programs by engaging with clients, understanding research objectives, and translating scientific needs into actionable study plans.
    • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to support successful execution of complex scientific programs.
    • Provide scientific input for business development initiatives, including technical marketing materials, white papers, proposals, and strategic content.
    • Evaluate existing and emerging protein biomarker technologies and recommend appropriate solutions across multiple assay platforms.
    • Drive scientific strategy by identifying opportunities for platform development, service expansion, and technology innovation.
    • Build external scientific visibility through publications, presentations, conference participation, partnerships, and industry engagement.
    • Support the advancement of specialty laboratory capabilities and biomarker offerings through strategic recommendations.
    • Influence cross-functional initiatives by collaborating with business development, laboratory operations, quality, data sciences, and research teams.
    • Serve as a strategic scientific advisor, providing expertise and guidance on complex biomarker-related challenges.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in protein biomarker science, translational research, and clinical development environments, along with strong communication and leadership abilities. Required qualifications include:

      • Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in immunology, molecular biology, translational science, or a related scientific discipline.
      • Approximately 10+ years of experience in clinical laboratory services, CRO environments, drug development, or related life sciences settings.
      • Deep expertise in multiplex and ultra-sensitive immunoassays, protein biomarker technologies, and their applications in translational research.
      • Experience with protein assay development and laboratory-based biomarker programs.
      • Hands-on knowledge of platforms such as Luminex, Simoa, MSD, Olink, and emerging biomarker technologies.
      • Strong ability to connect biological hypotheses with practical assay strategies and identify relevant biomarkers for research objectives.
      • Excellent client-facing communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage senior biopharma partners and scientific leaders.
      • Proven experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and influencing teams without direct management responsibility.
      • Ability to evaluate scientific opportunities, assess new technologies, and provide clear strategic recommendations.
      • Strong business awareness with the ability to align scientific solutions with commercial and operational objectives.
