Accountabilities:
- Manage multiple large-scale projects or a portfolio of smaller initiatives, ensuring delivery milestones, scope, and quality expectations are consistently achieved.
- Partner with client delivery teams to translate requirements into project objectives, timelines, dependencies, milestones, and actionable delivery plans.
- Apply structured project management practices across scheduling, risk management, communications, and stakeholder engagement to improve transparency and accountability.
- Coordinate with technical teams, including software development, data engineering, system integration, QA, and architecture groups, to manage delivery needs and dependencies.
- Own integrated project schedules, including work plan development, milestone tracking, critical path visibility, dependency management, and variance reporting.
- Maintain effective risk and issue management processes, including RAID tracking, mitigation planning, escalation management, and resolution follow-up.
- Lead resource planning and capacity management to support realistic commitments and successful project execution.
- Facilitate project status meetings, executive updates, and stakeholder communications to ensure alignment and timely decision-making.
- Support continuous improvement of project delivery practices, governance frameworks, and operational processes.
- 10+ years of experience leading complex IT projects and programs, including 8+ years in a dedicated Project Manager role.
- Proven experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, delivery, and handover.
- Strong knowledge of PMO practices and project governance frameworks, including project charters, RAID logs, RACI models, schedules, and executive reporting.
- Experience delivering healthcare IT implementations, with healthcare payer experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage Agile and hybrid delivery environments combining iterative development with structured milestone planning.
- Technical understanding of software development, data engineering, integrations, QA processes, and architecture considerations.
- Strong risk, dependency, and issue management skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, drive decisions, and manage expectations.
- Experience using tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, and AI-enabled project management solutions for reporting, scheduling, and coordination.
- Project management certifications such as PMP®, PRINCE2®, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent are valued.
- Experience with U.S. healthcare payer environments or Medicaid programs is a plus.
