Exercise Physiologist I: Per Diem, Atlantic Health Newton Medical Center Cardiac Rehab

Atlantic Health is searching for a per diem Exercise Physiologist for their Cardiac Rehab Unit at Newton Medical Center in beautiful Sussex County. The candidate chosen for this position will provide supportive oversight of Cardio-Pulmonary participants, assist clients with exercise equipment to ensure safe exercise programs and outcomes, and provide clients with individual and group fitness and wellness coaching.

The Exercise Physiologist will work in settings with patients with chronic diseases and comorbidities where exercise has been shown to be of therapeutic benefit. These conditions including but are not limited to:
•    Cardiovascular
•    Pulmonary
•    Metabolic
•    Immunologic
•    Hematologic
•    Neuromuscular

In addition, the role will include:

Creation of Exercise Prescriptions

Participation in Individualized Treatment Plans

Coaching patients following AACVPR and ACSM best practice guidelines.

Assisting patients with exercise equipment to ensure safe exercise programs and outcomes.

Providing clients with individual and group fitness and wellness coaching, as applicable.

Bachelors in Exercise Physiologist Required

Master's of Science in Clinical Exercise Physiology Preferred Experience: Previous cardiac rehab experience preferred Certificates:Exercise physiology-related certification preferred Other desired skills, abilities and knowledge:
