This role ensures supply continuity, manages supplier relationships, and drives cost, quality, and delivery performance through data-driven decision-making and adherence to company procurement policies. Come be a part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive our every endeavor!Location: Plymouth, MN, HybridWhat you will do: Ensures that company standard procedures are followed in connection with purchases of material and servicesAnalyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and sourcing opportunities to support purchasing strategies across assigned commoditiesMonitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring system accuracy and alignment with business and operational needsFollows up and maintains current and accurate database information, vendor lead times, open purchases, commitments and shortagesUpdates and maintains inventory maintenance within the software system to assist in decision makingCollaborate with cross-functional teams on high-value or strategic contracts and procurement initiativesAddress supplier quality issues, monitor vendor performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and strengthen supplier relationshipsSupport high-impact or critical items by expediting orders, identifying alternate sourcing, and ensuring rapid resolution of supply disruptionsWhat’s in it for you:  The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growthThe support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our bestMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Administrative, Business, Liberal Arts or Social Sciences2-4 years of experience as a buyer/purchasingAdvanced user of Excel Pivot Tables, Microsoft SuiteExperience working in MRP, ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle)Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced high volume environmentAbility to respond with urgency to resolve supply issues and support internal stakeholdersTravel 1-2 times a year to 2 warehouses-  Reno, NV and Dayton, OHWork visa sponsorship is not available for this positionPreferred Qualifications:HVAC Industry knowledge a plusBenefits:Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance  401K retirement plan with employer contributions matching 100% of the first 3% of employee contributions and 50% on the next 2% of employee contributionsCompany provided life insurance + optional employee paid voluntary life insurance, dependent life coverage and voluntary accident coverageShort term and long-term disability3 weeks of paid time off for new employees + 11 company paid holidaysVacation accrues on a monthly basis, unless applicable federal, state and local law requires a faster accrualPaid sick time in accordance of the federal, state and local lawPaid parental leave and tuition reimbursement after 6 months of continuous serviceThe typical hourly rate for this position ranges from $25.72 - $42.44 an hour in MN.  The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls.
