Software Engineer, Assure Commercialization Platform

Costa RicaFull-timePosted Jul 22, 2026

Job Description:

At DXC we use the power of technology to deliver mission critical IT services that our customers need to modernize operations and drive innovation across their entire IT estate. We provide services across the Enterprise Technology Stack for business process outsourcing, analytics and engineering, applications, security, cloud, IT outsourcing and modern workplace.

Our DXC Insurance BPaaS and BPO services help our customers optimize and transform operations, lower costs, increase agility and open new channels for growth. Our people, technology and best practices improve and automate highly complex business processes across front, middle and back offices — while facilitating customer experience transformation.

The Assure Commercialization Framework (ACF) is ISB's standardized commercial model that defines how all Assure products are configured, priced, sold, and governed.

Assure Catalog Pricing Calculator (ACPC) is a web-based application designed to manage the catalog of ISB's Assure class SaaS products, configure customer-specific solutions, then generate quotes, ROMs, and order forms. It features a modular architecture, internationalization support, and a database-backed catalog. Currently built with a Python/FastAPI backend and Streamlit front end — including sidecar and monolith deployment paths — the application is designed to be maintainable and extensible. Beyond ACPC, the Assure Commercialization Platform also includes ISB Intelligence and the consumption billing service, both part of ISB's broader SaaS commercialization suite. This role works across all three products, with ACPC as the primary focus today and growing ownership of the other two over time.

Description:

Help build the future of ISB's product commercialization framework. As an engineer on this project, you will help deliver intelligent customer segmentation, dynamic pricing powered by AI agents, and next-generation tools for product commercialization. Your work will directly impact how ISB brings products to market, optimizes pricing, and delivers value to customers through data-driven, automated solutions. You'll own the day-to-day engineering of ACPC, with growing ownership across ISB Intelligence and consumption billing as you ramp up.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced full-stack software engineer to help build and evolve the Assure Commercialization Platform. This project is key to managing and growing our diverse software portfolio, streamlining deal velocity, and enabling data-driven decisions for product planning, pricing, and contracting efforts. This role requires a strong technical background and excellent collaboration skills - deep pricing, CPQ, and commercial-portfolio fluency is a growth area you will develop on the job, not a day-one requirement.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer on the Assure Commercialization Platform, you will help build, operate, and evolve ACPC and its sibling products. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Codebase Management: Maintain, refactor, and extend the platform's Python/FastAPI backend and Streamlit front end to improve performance, readability, and scalability across ACPC, ISB Intelligence, and consumption billing.

Cloud & DevOps: Manage Azure deployments as a core responsibility — administer Container Apps, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Key Vault, and Entra SSO; maintain CI/CD pipelines, boards, and repos in Azure DevOps; own the dev → dev2 → prod promotion flow and database migrations.

Reliability & Operations: Monitor application health, respond to incidents, and improve observability — moving beyond reactive bug fixes toward proactive reliability.

Bug Fixes and Issue Tracking: Triage, diagnose, and resolve issues reported by users in a timely manner.

  • AI & Data Engineering: Build and maintain AI-powered features, including MCP servers and agent/prompt design, and maintain the PostgreSQL and SQLite data layers, including caching, replication, and schema migrations.
  • Feature Development & Forward-Building: Implement new features and net-new capabilities — including the Azure migration and consumption billing build-out — based on the product roadmap.
  • Code Reviews: Review pull requests from teammates, providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality and consistency.
  • Release Management: Plan and manage project releases, including versioning, changelogs, and deployment across environments.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for users and internal collaborators.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with pricing analysts, the GM, sales ops, and finance stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and roadmap priorities.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience, with strong full-stack development skills (backend + web UI).

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong experience in Python (or similar) and web development frameworks.
  • Database Knowledge: Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQLite) and SQL, including caching/replication patterns and schema migrations.
  • AI & Automation: Experience or strong interest in AI-driven automation for market intelligence, customer segmentation, and dynamic pricing.
  • Version Control & CI/CD: Proficiency with Git, standard Git workflows (branching, PRs, code review), and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps).
  • Testing: Experience writing and maintaining automated tests — unit (pytest) and end-to-end (Playwright); tests are expected alongside code changes.
  • Growth Mindset: Willingness to learn pricing/CPQ concepts and consumption-based billing — deep commercial-domain expertise is a growth area for this role, not a day-one requirement.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with CPQ/pricing concepts (quotes, ROMs, order forms, tiered & consumption pricing, margin).
  • Experience with consumption/usage-based billing, metering, and revenue reconciliation.
  • Prior experience as a maintainer or contributor to an open-source project.
  • Experience with AI/LLM or agent engineering (e.g., MCP servers, prompt design).
  • Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., Plotly, Matplotlib).
  • Knowledge of enterprise SSO integration (Entra).
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM integrations, and marketplace catalog sync.
  • Experience with internationalization (i18n) and localization (en/es/fr) using tools like gettext/Babel.
  • Familiarity with Jinja2 or other templating engines.
  • Familiarity with document-generation libraries (DOCX, PPTX, Excel, PDF/WeasyPrint).
  • Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-204, AZ-400) or equivalent hands-on Azure experience.
  • Experience with customer segmentation and recommendation systems
