The opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy as an Innovation Technology Programs Lead and play a defining role in shaping the future of our global Transformers business. You will join a fast‑paced, collaborative Global Innovation team empowered to explore disruptive trends, launch high‑value initiatives, and develop new ventures in an environment that values creativity, experimentation, and entrepreneurial thinking. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Lead transformative innovation initiatives that spark creativity, intrapreneurship, and continuous improvement.
  • Shape and manage the Innovation Focus Area portfolio, including strategy, prioritization, and annual roadmaps.
  • Drive annual and multi‑year technology plans to ensure aligned, well‑resourced, and high‑quality execution.
  • Provide strategic direction and hands‑on leadership for global technology programs delivered on time and within budget.
  • Oversee resource and financial planning to ensure efficiency, transparency, and value creation.
  • Foster strong collaboration across global teams and stakeholders to remove barriers and enable seamless execution.
  • Build and manage partnerships with research institutions, industry bodies, and external collaborators.
  • Champion responsible innovation by promoting design thinking, emerging technologies, and robust governance standards.

Your background

  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the transformers industry, including leadership in a global environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate market trends into strategic technology roadmaps.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and a track record of driving measurable business impact.
  • Experience converting insights into validated innovation solutions, with excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement capabilities.
  • Proven expertise in project and portfolio management, budget management, and multi‑region collaboration.
