Job Description:
Role Overview
The Country Product Manager is responsible for driving the end-to-end product strategy and execution within the assigned country, ensuring strong alignment with regional priorities while addressing local market needs. This role plays a critical link between regional strategy and in-market execution, focusing on growth, portfolio optimization, and commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Lead the development and execution of the country-level product strategy aligned with APAC/regional direction
- Manage the full product lifecycle, including launch, growth, and phase-out
- Drive portfolio prioritization based on market potential, customer needs, and competitive landscape
2. Commercial & Business Performance
- Own product performance targets (revenue, market share, profitability) within the country
- Translate regional growth drivers into actionable country plans
- Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to accelerate growth or address gaps
3. New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Lead local NPI planning and execution in close collaboration with regional teams
- Ensure effective go-to-market plans including pricing, positioning, and launch readiness
- Coordinate cross-functional alignment (sales, marketing, regulatory, supply)
4. Market & Customer Insights
- Gather and synthesize market insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence
- Provide input into regional strategy based on local market dynamics
- Identify unmet needs and recommend portfolio or innovation opportunities
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with:
- Sales teams to drive product adoption and execution
- Marketing (MarCom/Digital) to ensure effective campaigns
- Regulatory and supply teams to ensure compliance and availability
- Act as the key country contact for product-related topics
6. Pricing & Profitability
- Support local pricing strategy and execution, aligned with regional governance
- Monitor margins and ensure sustainable profitability of the product portfolio
