Our opportunity:
We are hiring a Trade and Customs Consultant (LAM) to lead complex projects as the primary person responsible for content and execution within the ECSA GTCC, supporting client relationships at the decision-maker level, and driving results across the entire team.
Main responsibilities:
The Consultant will support the GTCC team in delivering high-quality consultancy services focused on global trade and customs. This entry-level position requires a proactive individual eager to learn and develop skills across various aspects of consultancy, including project support, administrative tasks, and client interaction.
Among the activities foreseen on the role profile, the Consultant will be responsible for:
Support the Senior Consultant as a senior advisor on complex projects, contributing to proposal development, pricing, negotiations and strategic decision-making.
Contribute to pipeline qualification and opportunity development in Salesforce, partnering with Maersk commercial teams across Ocean, Customs Brokerage, Logistics & Services.
Support revenue growth and budget delivery through high-quality project execution, scope expansion and value creation across integrated opportunities.
Drive the ECSA scaling agenda by developing reusable frameworks and playbooks aligned with global GTCC standards.
Lead and deliver complex consulting engagements, including market entry studies, supply chain redesign, special regimes strategies, AEO/OEA certification and Tax Reform advisory.
Provide expert guidance on NCM classification, customs attributes, special regimes, tax incentives and trade compliance matters.
Ensure excellence in project governance, SOPs, billing accuracy and performance tracking.
Act as a subject matter expert on Tax Reform, DUIMP, customs regulations, penalty frameworks and Mercosur trade agreements.
Mentor junior team members, serving as a technical reference and quality reviewer.
Collaborate with regional and global GTCC teams to align methodologies and deliver cross-border projects.
Support GTCC integration into Maersk's commercial strategy, enabling cross-selling opportunities and strengthening the value proposition.

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Foreign Trade, or related field.
Fluent Portuguese and English; Spanish is highly desirable.
Solid experience in customs, trade advisory, indirect tax, or supply chain consulting.Strong knowledge of Brazilian customs and tax regulations, including AEO/OEA, DUIMP, special regimes, tax incentives, and Mercosur agreements.
Expertise in Tax Reform (IBS, CBS, IS) and transition advisory.
Proven experience delivering complex advisory projects and acting as a trusted technical expert.
Experience mentoring and developing team members.
Strong digital skills, including M365, Copilot, Power BI, Salesforce, SharePoint, and Teams.
