Introduction:
The Fund Accountant will be responsible for the client management, financial accounting, reporting, and any fund administration of assigned client portfolios. The role will collaborate effectively with different teams to deliver timely and high-quality services to clients and maintain close contact with clients throughout operations.
Some of the things you’ll be doing:
· Provide high-quality day-to-day fund administration services and maintain strong client relationships
· Act as a primary day-to-day contact with clients and other fund participants to address requests and queries
· Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
· Calculate Net Asset Value (“NAV”), carried interest / performance fees, investor allocations for capital calls, distributions and equalizations; an prepare / review the associated reports and statements
· Maintain accurate accounting books and records; monitor cash and investment transactions, and reconcile regularly
· Coordinate and process payment
· Prepare financial statements; coordinate annual audits and manage communication with auditors
· Report any business issues to your supervisor in timely manner
· Participate in any ad hoc tasks/projects assigned by your supervisor
· Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers (auditors, administrators, custodians) to address client needs and provide solutions.
· Support the preparation of financial statements and audit‑related deliverables.
· Maintain strong documentation and ensure processes follow internal controls and policies.
· Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support automation or system enhancements.
· Manage multiple priorities effectively and assist the wider team as needed.
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
· University degree in accounting or business-related disciplines
· Professional certification such as CA is a plus
· 2 to 5 years’ accounting experience is preferred, particularly in fund administration or asset management
· Experience in Limited Partnership accounting is a plus
· Ability to work under pressure and meet a range of deadlines
· Excellent time management and client servicing skills
· Positive attitude and able to adapt to new challenges
· Strong communication and teamwork abilities
· Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software in Investran will be an advantage
