Google Chrome Microsoft Edge Apple Safari Mozilla Firefox #119771 - Mid-Level EngineerContractJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Mid-Level Engineer to support a live production hiring-event platform used by client-facing teams and end users. This role is highly production-focused and requires someone who can diagnose issues quickly, work across backend and frontend systems, collaborate with support and go-to-market teams, and take ownership of code changes from investigation through deployment. The ideal candidate has strong Java/Spring Boot backend experience, secondary Django/Python experience, React frontend experience, and the ability to troubleshoot complex production issues across distributed systems. This person should be comfortable working independently, handling ambiguity, prioritizing urgent client-impacting issues, and communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Enterprise experience strongly preferred.Key Responsibilities- Analyze and resolve production issues related to live hiring events and event workflows.- Debug malfunctioning or misconfigured product features across backend, frontend, data, and integration layers.- Work closely with client-facing support teams and go-to-market stakeholders to triage and resolve support tickets.- Monitor production systems and respond quickly to alerts, performance degradation, or system health concerns.- Support timely issue resolution in alignment with established SLAs.- Maintain and update event logic as dependencies, systems, and business requirements change.- Support architecture changes and system integrations that may impact event functionality.- Own code changes through build, merge, deployment, and post-deployment validation.- Communicate clearly and concisely when working through ambiguous production issues.- Use data and system signals to troubleshoot production behavior and identify root causes.QualificationsMust-Have Skills- A minimum of 3-5 years of professional engineering experience.- Strong Java and Spring Boot backend development experience.- Django and Python backend development experience.- React frontend development experience.- Kafka experience.- GraphQL experience.- SQL or MongoDB experience.- Build and deployment experience.- Production debugging, triage, and issue-resolution experience.- Ability to ramp up quickly and assume ownership across multiple projects.- High level of autonomy and ownership.- Experience with at least one of the following: Dagster, Data Lakes, or Amazon Athena.- Ability to work independently and take initiative without heavy hand-holding.- Strong prioritization and strategic thinking skills.- Strong communication skills, especially in ambiguous or urgent production-support situations.- Experience using data to troubleshoot production issues. Nice-to-Have Skills- Product management experience working with go-to-market teams and engineers on prioritization.- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or Windsurf.- Experience supporting client-facing or business-critical production products.- Experience collaborating with support, operations, or go-to-market teams.- Experience owning merge and deployment responsibilities in a production environment.Additional InformationRequired Tools & Platforms- Java- Spring Boot- Django- Python- React- Kafka- GraphQL- SQL- MongoDB- Dagster, Data Lakes, or Amazon Athena- Claude, Cursor, or Windsurf preferred Location, Time & Engagement- Remote contract role.- Candidates must be located in LATAM.- Full-time allocation, 40 hours per week.- Must be able to support U.S. time zone coverage across PST, MST, CST, or EST.- Engagement expected to run through 2027-03-31.By clicking the link above or any third-party link within this posting, you are leaving this site and going to a third-party website where the third-party website's terms and privacy policy applyI'm interestedI'm interestedPrivacy NoticeI'm interestedRefer a friendshare...
