We are looking for an experienced Senior Director, Events Technology & Operations to lead and inspire an organization of skilled event technology, broadcast, and operations professionals in an unprecedented era of innovation and transformation. This role will lead the development of our global events technology strategy while delivering diverse portfolio of Flagship and Scale events. ResponsibilitiesDefine, evangelize, and execute the long-term vision for Microsoft's event technology ecosystem to create attendee-centric attendee experiences.Oversee the successful development and delivery of the technology solutions enabling Microsoft flagship events (Build, Ignite, AI Tour) and key Microsoft communications moments.Lead Microsoft’s Global Broadcast Operations Center, responsible for the transmission and streaming of Microsoft’s critical media communications.Establish and manage a portfolio-based approach to technology investments that optimize workflow and drive efficiency.Ensure event platforms, infrastructure, networking, and attendee-facing experiences meet world-class standards for performance, accessibility, scalability, and reliability.Partner with internal stakeholders to define technology needs and communicate project plans, timelines, and deliverables.Ensure robust QA protocols and contingency plans to ensure seamless execution.Bring energy and inspiration to the team and foster a culture that enables people to thrive and do their best work.Embody our Culture and ValuesQualificationsRequired/minimum qualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years of experience in Technology and/or Marketing Technology and/or Event Operations, including but not limited to registration, content, speaker and schedule management, mobile apps, attendee wayfinding, networking, and meeting scheduling OR equivalent experience.Additional or preferred qualificationsMaster's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years of experience in Technology and/or Marketing Technology and/or Event Operations, including but not limited to registration, content, speaker and schedule management, mobile apps, attendee wayfinding, networking, and meeting schedulingOR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 14+ years of experience in Technology and/or Marketing Technology and/or Event Operations, including but not limited to registration, content, speaker and schedule management, mobile apps, attendee wayfinding, networking, and meeting schedulingOR equivalent experience.6+ years people management experience.6+...
