Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is seeking an Engineering Technician 2/Engineering Technician 3 to join our team. This position will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division at our facility located in Promontory, UT. We are excited for you to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. Roles and Responsibilities: * Troubleshoot and maintain electronic systems including repair and setup of video, audio, process controllers, test equipment, and data acquisition systems. * Review drawings, specifications and follow planning in support of various development projects. * Read and understand electrical schematics as well as use a variety of electronic troubleshooting equipment. * Work closely with systems engineers to fabricate and checkout test systems. * Good interpersonal skills with other technicians and engineers. * Willing to work overtime on occasion to meet testing requirements. * Demonstrate a strong attitude towards safety. This position can be filled at either a level 2 or level 3. Basic Qualifications for a level 2: * High school diploma or GED and 2 years of relevant experience OR associate’s degree/certificate in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and 0 years of relevant experience. * Previous experience gathering, maintaining and compiling technical data. * Able to read engineering documentation and reports including drawings and schematics. * Capability to understand and follow electronic work instruction documents. * Ability to read, clearly interpret and accurately follow standard work and other written instructions. * Capable of the use of calibrated measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and electrical meters. * Proficient with manual and power tools. * Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Basic Qualifications for a level 3: * High school diploma or GED and 4 years of relevant experience OR associate’s degree/certificate in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and 2 years of relevant experience. * Previous experience gathering, maintaining and compiling technical data. * Able to read engineering documentation and reports including drawings and schematics. * Capability to understand and follow electronic work instruction documents. * Ability to read, clearly interpret and accurately follow standard work and other written instructions. * Capable of the use of calibrated measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and electrical meters. * Proficient with manual and power tools. * Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
