Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout assigned areas. - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verifying authorization and addressing concerns related to visitor movement, deliveries, and/or after-hours activity.
- Support an armed patrol presence by maintaining awareness during rounds and interactions, following post orders, and reporting security-related issues, hazards, and/or policy concerns promptly.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania only.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
