By empowering individuals and communities, Zurfte works to break cycles of disadvantage, enhance livelihoods, and create a more just and environmentally conscious society.Role (Volunteer, unpaid): AI/Machine Learning EngineerRole Description: As a Volunteer AI / Machine Learning Engineer, you will help design and implement AI-driven solutions that enhance ZEF's programs, automate workflows, and support data-informed decision-making. You will work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities where artificial intelligence can create measurable social impact.Key DeliverablesDesign, develop, and deploy machine learning models for nonprofit use cases.Research and evaluate AI solutions that improve operational efficiency and program delivery.Develop AI-powered features such as chatbots, recommendation systems, document processing, or predictive analytics.Prepare, clean, and analyze datasets for model training and evaluation.Integrate AI models into existing web or mobile applications through APIs.Monitor, test, and optimize model performance and accuracy.Document model architecture, datasets, and implementation processes.Collaborate with software developers, designers, and project teams to deliver AI solutions that align with organizational goals.Expected ImpactYour work will help ZEF leverage artificial intelligence to automate repetitive tasks, improve decision-making, enhance digital services, and create innovative solutions that increase the organization's efficiency and long-term social impact.Time Commitment: Volunteer 7-9 hours per week for 6+ months remotely 💻If you want to make change happen, apply to volunteer with Zurfte Empowercare Foundation now!
