As a critical member of our clinical team, you will help ensure smooth clinic operations while delivering compassionate, member-centered care that aligns with our mission of transforming healthcare through our payvider model.POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESMember Experience & CommunicationGreet all patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming mannerPrepare patients for their appointments and inform them of relevant and required information for their visitProvide clear communication to members around the services they are scheduled to receiveProactively communicate unexpected schedule delays to patients and assist with member comfort should delays ariseKeep the reception and patient waiting areas clean and organizedAdministrative & DocumentationObtain copies of insurance cards, driver's licenses, authorizations, referrals, and other required appointment documentation and save them appropriately in the practice EMRPerform demographic and insurance validation and inform patients of privacy policies and proceduresSchedule patient appointments and follow-up appointments per established policies and proceduresCollect patient co-payments, reconciliation charges, and outstanding balances upon check-in and submit batches dailyOther duties as assignedClinical Responsibilities Collaborate with the clinical team to execute care tasks as ordered by providersDeliver care in accordance with each member's individualized care planPerform client intake, collect lab specimens, and administer immunizationsChart accurately in electronic medical records (EHR)Assist with minor procedures and other supportive functions for the clinical teamComplete opening and closing tasks each day to prepare for daily clinic operationsSupport the care team to ensure members' needs are met and hand-offs are appropriately conductedDESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCERequired:High School Degree or equivalentCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) or ability to renew/apply for certificationMinimum of 3 years of experience in primary care or similar clinical environmentCurrent CPR CertificationComputer proficiency with the ability to enter information in EHR systems and compile reports or data as requestedAbility to read, write, and speak EnglishExcellent customer service and support skills; ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlinesEffective and professional communication — verbal and written — with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, ethnic, and professional backgroundsConsistent demonstration of positive, proactive customer service and ethical behaviorAbility to work effectively as a team member while functioning independently with sound judgmentFlexibility to shift priorities, maintain confidentiality, and establish effective interpersonal work relationshipsPreferred:Bilingual in English/SpanishBLS CertificationPhlebotomy CertificationPhysical Requirements:Ability to work rotating shifts in a physically demanding, moderate-stress environmentExposure to blood, body fluids, communicable diseases, and repetitive motionsFull range of body motion including handling and lifting clientsLight to moderate work with 50 lbs. maximum...
