Mission Statement
Responsible for the bidding process from initial contact through contract signing. Manages the bid planning process, monitors and reports on bid and production costs. Identifies competitive advantages of solution over competitor products/offerings and assists the business in the development of bid strategy for complex bids. Partners with sales, marketing, consulting, legal and other departments to develop and package responses to bids. Serves as the single point of contact for customers during bid process, working in collaboration with the Account Manager/Director. Completes bid submissions and drives approvals, while managing risk. Develops and continuously improves the bid processes, tools and databases. An Experienced Professional (P2) applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May require the following proficiency. Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
How you’ll make an impact
- Should have in-depth knowledge of Power System-Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Energy automation in Metro rail segment, Solar, Wind & Industrial segments.
- Knowledge of Relays & Protection system from 33kV to 765kV
- Knowledge on SAS system from 33kV to 765kV & different SAS architectures
- Knowledge of Control IEDs-BCU, BCPU, RTU, Data concentrator, Gateways.
- Knowledge of Hitachi Energy Grid Automation products and offerings
- Ability to interpret single line diagram, Architecture, Layouts, Bill of material, specification, and other relevant
- documents of customer for bid preparation.
- Feasibility Study - Technical / Strategic positioning, and Commercial viability.
- Should have adequate knowledge on Project Risk Assessment.
- Respond to clients with technical support to persuade customers on capacity and offer complete solution.
- Communication with customer on a regular basis and updating new technologies, concept, and products.
- Prepare and review detailed scope of work, commercial calculations, delivery schedules and documentation
- as required.
- Provide the most optimized solutions to the customers, fulfilling their requirement.
- Necessary competency to optimize the offering with different choices of products and solution available in
- market on need basis in close co-ordination with Engineering & Supply chain.
- Co-ordinating with cross-functional teams like Supply Chain, Project management, Engineering, Contract
- Management, Finance, Front End Sales for smooth handover of projects.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
- Candidate must have educational qualification in bachelor/master’s in engineering with relevant work experience in Bids and proposal.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
