As a Physical Inspections Technician, you support the quality organization by performing dimensional inspections that ensure the accuracy and conformity of machined aerospace components. You run coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programs, perform manual measurements using metrology tools, and verify part quality against specifications and engineering requirements. Your work helps ensure compliance with quality standards and directly supports production readiness and hardware reliability.

This position requires U.S. person status under U.S. export control laws, including U.S. citizens and nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees. 

Schedule

  • First shift.

Responsibilities

  • Runs coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programs to inspect machined components.
  • Operates multiple inspection machines and equipment simultaneously.
  • Monitors inspection processes and results to verify part quality.
  • Completes work orders, inspection documentation, and daily preventative maintenance records.
  • Promotes health and safety practices for self and teammates.
  • Supports quality and compliance by following all procedures and work instructions aligned with the AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Completes allrequired training.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred but not required).
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Foundational understanding of inspection and metrology.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Mathematical ability.
  • Problem solving skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Operates machinery from a standing position.
  • Frequently positions self to operate machinery in various configurations.
  • Constantly performs visual inspection of parts.
  • Occasionally lifts or moves up to 30 pounds.
  • The essential functions of this position must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
