Join a leading Accenture programme delivering transformational Guidewire InsuranceSuite implementation for a Tier-1 Australian insurer.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire practitioner to join our Sydney-based delivery team. This is a high-impact, client-facing role embedded within a large-scale Guidewire Cloud implementation programme covering PolicyCenter (PC), BillingCenter (BC), and ClaimCenter (CC). The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of delivery, technical excellence, and client engagement, bringing both deep Guidewire expertise and an AI-forward mindset to drive programme outcomes.

1. Roles & Responsibilities

Delivery & Technical Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end configuration, development, and integration activities across Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PC / BC / CC).
  • Drive technical design discussions and solution architecture in alignment with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) best practices.
  • Oversee code quality, peer reviews, and adherence to Guidewire coding standards across Gosu, APD, and Integration Gateway.
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters and value stream leads to manage sprint delivery, resolve blockers, and maintain velocity.

AI & Automation Enablement

  • Champion the adoption of Guidewire's GenAI-powered Developer Assistants (Gosu, Integrations, and Jutro) to accelerate development cycles by up to 60%.
  • Leverage Guidewire Autopilot Workflow Service to design and automate complex insurance business processes end-to-end.
  • Contribute to the programme's AI roadmap by evaluating and implementing Guidewire's Agentic Framework, Agent Studio, and GenAI Services for claims, underwriting, and policy workflows.
  • Support the integration of Guidewire Claims Intel predictive scores and AI-assisted pricing insights within core workflows.

Integration & Platform

  • Design and implement integrations via MuleSoft, Integration Gateway, and Guidewire Cloud APIs, ensuring real-time data access and system interoperability.
  • Work with Datahub / Cloud Data Access (CDA) for reporting and analytics integration across the InsuranceSuite.
  • Contribute to Advanced Product Designer (APD) adoption and InsuranceSuite product model modernisation.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to client stakeholders, presenting solutions and progress in a clear, business-aligned manner.
  • Participate in client workshops, sprint reviews, and executive reporting sessions alongside the Head of Platform.
  • Support onshore-offshore coordination, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer and delivery continuity between Sydney and the offshore team.

Mandatory Qualifications & Certifications

  • Required: Minimum Guidewire Associate Certification (ACE) in at least one InsuranceSuite product: PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.
  • Required: Demonstrated experience on at least one full-cycle Guidewire cloud implementation or migration project.
  • Required: Proficiency in Gosu scripting, PCF configuration, and data model extensions within Guidewire.

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) including release management, upgrade cycles (Palisades / Mammoth / Olos), and cloud deployment tooling.
  • Working knowledge of Guidewire's AI tooling: Developer Assistant (Gosu / Integrations / Jutro), Autopilot Workflow Service, Guidewire Rules Service, and Guidewire Functions.
  • Integration experience with REST APIs, MuleSoft, and Guidewire Integration Gateway or equivalent enterprise integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with modern development practices including CI/CD, version control (Git), and automated testing frameworks within the Guidewire ecosystem.
  • Exposure to Jutro Digital Platform and React-based front-end development for Guidewire digital experiences.
  • Understanding of P&C insurance domain: policy lifecycle, claims handling, billing, and underwriting.

Soft Skills & Working Style

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills — ability to translate technical concepts for a business audience.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile delivery environment with multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem identification and resolution.
  • Willing to work onsite in Sydney with periodic client engagement at QBE premises.

3. Added Advantage — Advanced Proficiency & Client Excellence

Guidewire AI & Innovation Leadership

  • Highly Desirable: Hands-on experience with Guidewire's Agentic AI Framework: building, training, or deploying custom AI agents via Agent Studio using preferred LLMs within GWCP.
  • Highly Desirable: Practical use of Guidewire Developer Assistants to generate Gosu, integration, or Jutro code — with measurable productivity impact.
  • Highly Desirable: Experience with Guidewire Claims Intel, Underwriting Assistant, or AI-powered PricingCenter capabilities within live delivery.
  • Highly Desirable: Familiarity with Guidewire's MCP Servers and AI Connect to orchestrate AI agents across the insurance lifecycle.

Automation & Quality Engineering

  • Experience designing and executing automated test strategies within Guidewire using tools such as TestComplete, Selenium, or Guidewire's native test frameworks.
  • Ability to build and maintain regression suites across PC, BC, and CC to support continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Exposure to performance testing, defect triage, and quality governance in large-scale Guidewire programmes.

Client-Facing & Problem-Solving Excellence

  • Demonstrated ability to operate in Tier-1 insurer environments, managing competing stakeholder priorities with professionalism and composure.
  • Track record of leading root cause analysis (RCA) and providing structured, executive-ready incident resolution communications.
  • Experience facilitating discovery workshops, solution design sessions, or client onboarding activities within a Guidewire programme context.
  • Proven record of championing continuous improvement — identifying and eliminating delivery inefficiencies, technical debt, or process gaps with measurable outcomes.

Additional Certifications & Learning

  • Guidewire ACE Certification in multiple product areas (PC + BC + CC) or cloud-specialized certification pathway strongly preferred.
  • Completed Guidewire Education formal training in Palisades / Mammoth release curriculum.
  • Active engagement with the Guidewire Developer Community, Stack Overflow for Guidewire, or Hackathon participation viewed favourably.
