Quality Technician - Level III

Job Summary:

Supports Engineers in carrying out production-related and inspection jobs; assists in monitor materials quality in processing plants and making the required adjustments; ensures maintenance of documentation and records. Works under minimal supervision.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Compares the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment and products to technical specifications to identify defects. Conducts simple tests (for example on electrical function, reliability, packaging quality). Records results and prepare simple technical reports. Provides product and component testing using a range of measurement equipment. Provides advanced programming, training, and operation of measurement and test equipment. Assists customers in understanding/interpreting product specifications and application of measurement data. Participates in measurement uncertainty studies for measurements associated with measurement or calibration results. Ensures proper maintenance and calibration of the measurement and test equipment. Measurement Science - Analyzes measurement processes throughout the relevant traceability chain to identify and quantify sources of measurement uncertainty relevant to the appropriate applied measurement science, “Metrology” e.g. Chemical, Dimensional, Electrical, Mechanical, Optical and Radiation and Physical.

Quality Process Management - Proficient application of quality tools and methods (e.g. APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, Capability studies, Process Audit, inspection, test, etc.) to ensure quality of products, processes and services.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:
Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols to ensure supplier compliance and product quality for all types of Sensors

Supplier Quality Engineers have the following duties and responsibilities:

Evaluate and select suppliers based on their ability to meet product and schedule requirements
Develop and implement supplier quality evaluation and control systems
Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement
Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPIs, including Supplier Workplan, PPM, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve supplier quality issues
Collaborate with supplier representatives/Supplier locations on quality problems, ensure corrective actions are implemented and contribute to supplier quality improvement programs
Manage and maintain supplier performance metrics, assessment, and certification programs
Train suppliers to execute specific quality system processes
Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure supplier compliance with contractual requirements

Handling Complete MIS for Electrical Systems.
Handling COE (Center of Excellence) for Electrical Systems.
Conducting Monthly Review with Clusters.
