This role will assist with daily privacy operations and compliance activities that promote a strong culture of privacy. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of HIPAA, strong organizational and analytical skills, and experience supporting healthcare privacy operations.What You’ll Do:Support the organization’s compliance with HIPAA and other applicable privacy regulationsTriage incoming privacy incidents, document details, and escalate appropriately based on established proceduresProvide support on routine privacy investigations, including documentation and follow-up activitiesMonitor and manage the Privacy Office inbox, ensuring timely responses and routing of inquiriesAssist in privacy risk assessments and tracking remediation effortsSupport the development and delivery of privacy training and awareness initiativesCollaborate with Compliance and other stakeholders on privacy communications, including newsletters, campaigns, and awareness activitiesSupport the implementation and maintenance of privacy policies, procedures, and controlsAssist with audits, regulatory inquiries, and reporting requirementsMaintain accurate documentation related to incidents, training, and compliance activitiesWhat You’ll Bring to Zelis: A strong foundation in healthcare privacy, compliance, and privacy operations.A bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Paralegal Studies, or a related field, or equivalent experience.At least two years of experience in healthcare privacy, compliance, or a related role.Foundational knowledge of HIPAA and experience supporting privacy incidents, investigations, training, or awareness activities.Strong organizational, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive information responsibly.Attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to prioritize competing tasks.A collaborative mindset and the ability to support...
