Activities focus on sample preparation, DNA extraction, genotyping, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and data analysis for both plant, animal, and human specimens.Responsibilities and DutiesGeneral:Knowledge and ability to conduct specific processes related to testing in Agrigenomics lab that may include work in any of the following areas:Preparation of paperworkSample preparation (leaf, seed, and animal samples)DNA ExtractionGeneral Lab cleaningGenotypingMicroarray technologyNGSData analysisCustomer communicationAssist in training of staffInternal communication about processesOther duties as neededSpecific:Assists in equipment maintenance and calibrationSupport and maintain ISO quality systemSupport and maintain EBDI Safety programOthers as required by workflowsQualificationsEducation/Experience:A Bachelor of Science in a field related to Agriculture or Laboratory Science is required.
