## The impact you’ll make Join Lam as an Electrical Engineer and you'll be at the forefront, designing and developing electronic solutions for advanced applications. Your role involves designing and analyzing equipment, conducting experimental tests, evaluating results to create reliable cutting-edge solutions. ## What you’ll do * Design, develop, and maintain analogue and digital electronic circuits throughout the complete product lifecycle * Perform component selection, schematic capture, circuit simulation, and PCB design to meet performance, cost, and reliability targets * Drive technical requirements from concept through implementation, test, and release * Collaborate with mechanical, software, systems, manufacturing, quality, and service engineering teams during product development * Support system integration activities involving sensors, actuators, communication networks, and control systems * Create and maintain engineering documentation including schematics, test reports, BOMs, design reviews, and technical specifications ## Who we’re looking for * Master's degree in Electronics Engineering with 3+ relevant professional experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ professional experience * Proven experience in the design and development of analogue and digital electronic circuits * Solid understanding of EMC/EMI design principles, including shielding, grounding, filtering, and PCB layout practices for compliance and robust system performance. * Experience with EMC testing and certification standards (e.g., IEC, CE, FCC, SEMI) * Strong expertise in schematic capture, circuit simulation, PCB design, and electronic system integration * Proficiency with electronic design tools such as ORCAD, Cadence, or equivalent platforms * Hands-on experience of electronic testing, debugging, verification, and validation techniques. * Strong knowledge of AC and DC power distribution systems and their application in industrial environments. * Comprehensive understanding of electrical control system architectures, system integration principles, and control system applications. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate across multidisciplinary teams. * Advanced computer proficiency, including extensive experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with board-level communication interfaces and protocols, including SPI, I²C, UART and similar serial communication buses used in embedded and electronic control systems. * Experience with industrial communication protocols and fieldbus technologies, such as EtherCAT and Ethernet-based networks, as well as measurement and control systems. * Ability to drive functional requirements from definition through implementation and validation in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment. * Strong understanding of Design for Reliability (DfR), Design for Manufacturability (DfM), and Design for Serviceability (DfS) principles. * Highly proficient in troubleshooting complex systems using tools such as network sniffers, protocol analyzers, and diagnostic log analysis. * Experienced in structured root-cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies, including 5 Whys, 8D, Fishbone (Ishikawa) diagrams, and related techniques. * Demonstrates a collaborative mindset with a genuine interest in understanding the challenges, constraints, and design considerations of other engineering disciplines to enable robust system-level solutions. ## What We're Offering This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in the occupation group E. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
