Cardiovascular Ultrasound Tech I Per Diem Newton
Performs high-quality echocardiographic exams using IAC-accredited
protocols, including saline and contrast studies. Ensures patient safety,
comfort, and education throughout procedures. Collaborates with physicians
and team members to support diagnostic accuracy and continuous quality
improvement.
Perform comprehensive transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) per IAC standards.
Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
Accurately document and report findings in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and team members
Maintain equipment and exam rooms per infection control standards.
Participate in lab quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
Attend required meetings, in-services, and training sessions.
Demonstrate teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to continuous learning.
Cross-functional responsibilities include: Performs EKGs, Stress and Nuclear Stress
testing, EEG, and any other delegated duties, with training and support.
Complies with the IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission) Standard Protocol &
utilization of saline & contrast
High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical
Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program.
Registry through CCI or ARDMS
Training/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Excellent interpersonal skills. Effective verbal and written skills. Basic proficiency with computer system
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and
collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer proficiency and comfort
with digital imaging systems. Attention to detail and commitment to patient-centered
care. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and protocols
