Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Lead Quality Technician.
The hourly rate for this position is $24.00 per hour.
The shift hours are 5:00am-3:30pm.

## What you’ll do:
The Lead Quality Inspector/ Technician will be a working inspector promoted as shift Team Lead and serving as a point of contact for the supervisor and a constant presence of leadership for the team. Lead Inspectors will perform normal duties as an inspector and quality technician with a focus on leadership, manning, and communicating production’s needs to the inspectors. Monitor inspector productivity and ensure that quality standards are being upheld and allocate cross-training during downtime. Each shift Lead will conduct a daily shift report-out, including hand-off notes and status report.
(All inspectors will perform final and in-process quality inspections as required to support manufacturing operations to ensure product conformance to specification. Perform containment activities for Quality issues identified internally and through warranty claims including sorting activities, final inspection, in-process inspection, and process verification. Drive corrective and preventive action to eliminate/minimize the Quality issues identified during inspections.)
In this function you will:
• Perform standard work as an inspector, meeting all those basic qualifications
• Serve as the quality representative at the daily Tier Meetings
• Coordinate inspector manning operations and rotations to meet the needs of production.
• Complete a daily shift report-out, including shift-to-shift handoff notes to set the next shift up for success and status reports for all jobs.
• Monitor the productivity of inspectors and ensure quality culture and standards are upheld
• Assist with training as needed and assign cross-training rotations during downtime
• Review all suspected non-conforming materials, disposition NCMR’s in a timely manner and determine root-cause.
• Review other documented information including drawings, part lists, e-BOM’s, computer reports, etc. Perform dimensional reviews, inspections, functional tests to verify nonconformance information.
• Contact vendors to return nonconforming parts or materials. Generate necessary packing slips, L-orders, and shipping information to return material. Obtain VISTA return numbers for inter-unit nonconforming parts or materials. Generate DMR/CA documents to vendors utilizing the WISPER System. Follow-up to ensure that corrective actions are provided.
• Coordinate with design engineering and suppliers for resolution to any deviation from printed drawings and specifications
• Perform (as required) all ATS related Process Audits or Capability Studies, maintain electronic records of audits or studies.
• Controls the segregation of all non-conforming parts and materials and facilitates timely disposition
## Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Associate Degree or 3 years relevant manufacturing and technical experience
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic concepts and products.
• Previous experience reading and interpreting blueprints/ engineering drawings for inspection purposes
• Experience performing dimensional checks and functional tests on suspected nonconforming parts or materials utilizing calipers, tape measure, gages, etc.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Demonstrated history of success working independently without direct supervision.
