What We Want

The Athletic Assistant, under general supervision, provides a broad range of administrative support to the various sports and services of the Athletic Department.

Responsibilities

Revenue Generation & Event Support

  • Assist in planning, coordinating and executing revenue generating initiatives including gameday activations, 12th Man Rewards, 12th Man Memories, Junior Aggie Club, email marketing, and mobile app initiatives.

Corporate Partnerships & Fan Engagement

  • Support sponsorship fulfillment, donor stewardship, ticket sales initiatives, and community outreach efforts by assisting with promotional activities, hospitality, and fan engagement experiences that enhance departmental revenue.

Administrative & Operational Assistance

  • Provide administrative and operational support for various areas within the external operations unit, including logistics, customer service, data tracking, marketing assistance, and other duties that contribute to the revenue generation efforts for the department. 

Compliance

  • Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations.

  • Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations concerning student-athletes: conduct, appearance, road games, punctuality, and other areas as deemed appropriate.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven knowledge of NCAA rules.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to use word processing, spreadsheets, and database programs.

  • Interpersonal and communication skills and ability to plan and organize effectively.

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
