ezCater is the #1 food tech platform for workplaces in the US. The company makes it easy for any organization to manage its food needs and order from over 125,000 restaurants nationwide. For workplaces, ezCater provides flexible and scalable solutions for everything from employee meal programs to one-off meetings, all backed by beyond helpful 24/7 service and business-grade reliability. For restaurant partners, ezCater helps grow their business by bringing them new high-value customers and large orders.
As Senior Product Designer for Admin Experiences, you’ll sit at the center of how companies of all sizes manage food at work – and how ezCater earns the trust of the business buyers and admins who make that possible. You’ll work across two tightly connected areas:
- Meal Program: Designing intuitive admin experiences that make it easy to plan, manage, and scale recurring meal programs.
- Enterprise Catering: Building the capabilities and tools that enterprises need around user management, governance, and reporting.
You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Research, and Analytics to translate what admins and decision-makers actually need into clear, scalable, and durable product experiences. The admin experience is where enterprise trust is won or lost, and where you'll have an outsized impact on ezCater's growth.
What You'll Do:
- Shape the end-to-end admin experience by designing across a complex, multi-product ecosystem, ensuring these experiences feel coherent, not cobbled together.
- Define and refine problem spaces with Product and Ops partners, framing work around clear admin, decision-maker, and business outcomes rather than a backlog of feature requests.
- Help set the roadmap, not just execute it - partnering with Product, Engineering, and Data to ground priorities in admin needs, business health, and the realities of running food programs at scale.
- Lead discovery grounded in how businesses actually buy and manage food by partnering with Sales, Account Management, Support, and Research to understand the realities of enterprise procurement, program administration, and organizational complexity.
- Design for multiple personas at once including decision-makers, billing leads, program admins, and corporate orderers - ensuring handoffs between roles and surfaces feel intentional, not accidental.
- Raise the bar on interaction, systems, and visual design as you craft user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes. Contribute to and advocate for our design system so admin experiences feel consistent, scalable, and accessible.
- Use data and experimentation to guide iteration by collaborating with Analytics and Product to define metrics, design experiments, and interpret results. Use data and research to decide when to iterate, when to pivot, and when to invest in foundational UX improvements.
- Facilitate alignment across disciplines and teams by running workshops, critique sessions, and working sessions that help teams frame problems, explore options, and converge on impactful solutions. Bring partners along with clear storytelling and artifacts.
- Use AI-powered tools to move faster across the design process, from early prototyping to research synthesis, and help raise the bar for how the broader team adopts them.
What You Have:
- 5+ years of experience as a product designer, user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role, with accompanying experience in visual/graphic design.
- Experience designing for complex, multi-step journeys, ideally in areas like admin tools, dashboards, or multi-sided marketplaces.
- A track record of shaping what teams work on, not just how it looks – helping teams move from shipping tickets to solving clearly framed problems with measurable outcomes.
- Comfortable working closely with non-engineering partners like Sales, Account Management, and Support, and translating their frontline context into product strategy and design decisions.
- A positive attitude and the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback, as well as regularly seeking feedback on your own performance.
- Proficiency with the Figma suite, Claude design, and prototyping tools.
- Experience designing with and contributing to a robust design system.
- A detailed portfolio that showcases:
- How you’ve tackled complicated, multi-stakeholder problems.
- How your process moves from discovery through launch and iteration.
- The customer and business impact of your work (ideally including activation, retention, or operational improvements).
- Strong storytelling and communication skills that show you can explain complex flows and tradeoffs in ways that resonate with both technical and non-technical partners.
- Well-developed collaboration and facilitation skills. You’re as thoughtful about how teams work together as you are about the pixels.
- A sharp mind, a soft heart, and a large funny bone.
- Ability to travel up to 5 days per quarter for Together Weeks, team gatherings and other events, when applicable.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience designing for B2B admin personas: procurement leads, finance admins, IT or HR decision-makers, or account managers.
- Experience in the restaurant, catering, delivery, or gig space.
- Experience designing onboarding flows, activation experiences, or product-led growth motions.
- Experience with service design, journey mapping, or complex operational workflows that cross multiple teams and tools.
- Experience working in experimentation-heavy environments (e.g., A/B testing, incremental UX improvements guided by data).
- Familiarity with approaches like Jobs To Be Done, systems thinking, or other frameworks for structuring complex problem spaces.
