Skip to main content MS Data Processing/Counselor Clerk (26-27 SY)- Austin MS Irving ISD Irving, TX MS Data Processing/Counselor Clerk (26-27 SY)- Austin MS Irving ISD Irving, TX 2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants See who Irving ISD has hired for this role Report this job JOB TITLE: Data Processing/Counselor ClerkWAGE/HOUR STATUS: ExemptFUNDING SOURCE: LocalPAY GRADE: 040 (213 Days)REPORTS TO: PrincipalThis position is eligible for a Letter of Reasonable AssuranceJOB GOAL: Maintain accurate and complete schedule/grade records and assist counselors as needed; maintain confidentiality of information and recordsQualificationsMinimum Education/Certification:High School Diploma or GEDSpecial Knowledge/SkillsKnowledge of general office equipmentEffective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsProficient keyboarding skillsAbility to operate computer/peripherals using a variety of basic applicationsAbility to effectively use district programs after basic training and with reasonable help-desk assistanceExperienceOne year of clerical/secretarial experience or other equivalent experience or background.Major Performance Responsibilities And DutiesPerform all clerical duties necessary to maintain accurate and complete student records, including, but not limited to, schedules, grades, and demographic informationAssist parents/guardians to verify documentation and complete enrollment forms; prepare initial cumulative record folderTransfer and request student cumulative records and transcripts as students enter/withdraw within and outside the districtAssist counselors, students, teachers, and parents as neededAssist in distribution of report cards and standardized testing results as directedAssist in compiling information to be used in requested reports and correspondencePerform receptionist duties in the office as neededMaintain confidentiality of information and student recordsKeeps informed of and comply with state, district, and school policies and regulations concerning primary job functions.Equipment UsedComputer/peripherals, copier, multi-line telephone, and facsimileWorking ConditionsMental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:Maintain focus while performing tasks with frequent interruptionsMaintain emotional control under stressRepetitive hand motionsProlonged use of computerMove small stacks of student filesOccasional travel within the districtSafety: Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and District policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidents immediately to supervisor, and being proactive in the ongoing efforts to improve and maintain workplace safety.The information contained in this job description is for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and foregoing statements describe the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this job and are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills that may be required.
