Job Description
Base Sp. z o.o., part of the Zendesk Group in Poland, is looking for an Accountant to join our EMEA Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for general ledger processing and will also support statutory reporting and compliance for the entity/entities.

What you'll be doing
- Preparing monthly accounts in local currency under strict reporting deadlines, in accordance with US GAAP and corporate accounting policies
- Preparing the monthly financial package for review with the EMEA Reporting Manager, including analytical review and variance commentary
- Performing detailed balance sheet analysis and reconciliations
- Accurately calculating and reporting month-end accruals
- Partnering with the finance shared service team in relation to fixed assets, prepayments, and accounts payable
- Supporting local statutory reporting, periodic VAT returns, and monthly cash flow forecasting
- Assisting with the implementation of internal controls and procedures, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies
- Providing ad hoc project support as needed
What you bring to the role
- Professional accounting qualification or a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of recent relevant financial experience, especially in general ledger accounting
- Experience in international accounting
- Strong proficiency in Excel
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and focused
- Motivated, self-directed, and proactive
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Full professional proficiency in English
This is an 18-month fixed-term temporary position.
