Director, Capture Management Job Locations US-MD-Annapolis Junction Requisition ID 2026-166349 Position Category Growth Clearance Top Secret/SCI w/Poly Responsibilities Peraton is seeking a Director of Capture with demonstrated success in leading capture teams and winning captures.  As a Director of Capture, you will perform in a player/coach capacity, both leading the capture team for a $1.5B Cyber and Intelligence Sector and leading individual capture efforts.  You are responsible for delivering strategic oversight, capture management, cross-functional collaboration, market analysis and intelligence, client engagement, performance monitoring, and process improvement.  You provide mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure successful development and execution of capture plans across the organization. You work closely with executive leadership, business development, proposal operations, technical, and pricing teams to create and execute cohesive, competitive, and differentiated capture strategies.  You implement capture processes and tools within the organization, leveraging best practices and incorporating AI into daily activities of the team. What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities:Lead the capture team responsible for delivering winning proposals in a “coach” capacityLead individual captures and deliver winning proposals in a “player” capacity#MDFSP Qualifications Bachelors and 16+ years of relevant experienceTrack record of managing or performing as a capture lead and winning opportunities >$100M.Proven track record of developing mutually beneficial partner relationships with teammates and vendors that deliver value to customersExcellent business acumen; strong understanding of Federal procurement, contracting, and financial rules and regulationsAble to effectively diagnose client needs, propose and close solutions that have measurable and positive mission impactDisplay exceptional strategic selling skills including discovery, ROI development and presentation, sales cycle maintenance, tactical planning and closingDemonstrate solid leadership qualities and organizational skills in coordinating the sales cycleDeliver outcomes in environments with fast-paced hard deadlines and extended work hours when neededEstablish, build, and maintain positive, professional relationships and interaction at all decision levelsMaintain a highly credible professional profile within the industryAbility to communicate issues, concerns, risks, and problems in a solution-oriented mannerExperience applying AI Tool Capabilities (OpenAI, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) in execution of capture activitiesWillingness to travel as needed for client engagement and pursuit activitiesMust reside in the greater Washington DC metro areaMust hold security clearance at the level of Top Secret/SCI w/ polyDesiredDemonstrated capacity to stay on top of current trends, issues, and technologies in mission areasAbility to positively communicate with, inspire, and motivate all levels of staffDemonstrated ability to think outside the box, acting strategically and proactivelyAbility to pivot approach and maximize Pwin given changing information and environments Peraton Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy.
