Position: Training & Development Senior Professional (Platform)
Location: Łódź, Poland
You will shape how platforms and software engineers develop their skills across the organization.
Your role is to build a clear and structured approach to capability development — from defining competencies to designing training and measuring progress.
You will work closely with engineering teams and experts to translate business and technology needs into practical development paths.
Based in Łódź, you will also support on-site training and work within a global TrafoSchool setup that drives engineering capability at scale.
How you’ll make an impact
Platform Engineering Competency Framework
Define and maintain a competency framework for Platform Engineering roles, translating business priorities, engineering standards, and organizational needs into clear competency expectations.
Ensure alignment between competencies, role profiles, career paths, and professional development frameworks, including AI-related capabilities and emerging technology requirements.
Skills & Competence Mapping
Build and maintain skills and competency matrices for Platform Engineering roles.
Assess current versus target competency levels, identify gaps, and prioritize development initiatives that improve performance, quality, speed, autonomy, and adoption of emerging technologies such as AI.
Training & Development Architecture
Design role-based development paths across seniority levels, from junior to expert.
Create and maintain a comprehensive training architecture that includes internal learning programs, SME-led technical sessions, external providers, and specialized technical courses.
Translate business and engineering challenges into structured development initiatives, including AI-enabled tools, automation, digital workflows, and platform capabilities.
SME & External Training Coordination
Coordinate internal Subject Matter Experts and external learning providers involved in training design and delivery.
Ensure training content is technically accurate, relevant, consistent, and aligned with platform engineering priorities while bringing in leading industry practices and expertise.
Training Execution (Platform Engineering)
Plan, coordinate, and execute learning activities for Platform Engineering teams in line with TrafoSchool processes, tools, and quality standards.
Manage scheduling, participant communication, completion tracking, and feedback collection to continuously improve learning effectiveness and capability development outcomes.
Local F2F Training Coordination (GEC)
Act as the local coordinator for face-to-face training initiatives hosted at the Global Engineering Center.
Support logistics, facilities, room setup, participant communication, and trainer coordination while ensuring compliance with local site and HSE requirements.
Monitoring, Governance & Continuous Improvement
Track and report key performance indicators related to competencies, training completion, skills coverage, learning effectiveness, and capability maturity.
Provide visibility into progress, risks, and improvement opportunities while supporting TrafoSchool governance and reporting processes.
Monitor the adoption and business impact of AI and platform capabilities, ensuring training investments translate into measurable engineering and organizational outcomes.
Act as a champion for technology adoption and continuous learning across engineering teams.
Your Background
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering Informatics, or related field.
Strong background in software engineering and platform development environments.
Experience working with large software development teams.
Proven experience in skills and competency mapping, capability development, or structured technical training programs.
Exposure to digital transformation initiatives and emerging technologies (e.g., Artificial Intelligence) in engineering or platform environments.
Experience coordinating technical trainings, SMEs, and external providers.
Ability to operate effectively in a global, cross-functional organization.
Fluent English.
